Below is another map showing movement (Great Philadelphia Wagon Road) of Quakers from Pennsylvania to Piedmont North Carolina.
During 1751, Quaker Minister Abigail Overman Pike and Rachel Wells Wright traveled to Perquimans County, NC to attend the Quarterly Meeting at Little River, in hopes of gaining permission to establish a new monthly meeting in Cane Creek.  Permission was granted and the first Monthly Meeting was held on October 7, 1751.
